CURTAINS & BLINDS · DOHA

Curtains made for your room.

The right curtain brings the window, the light and the rest of the room together. Start with how you want the space to feel, then work through fabric, lining, heading and fitting.

01

Start with the room, then choose the fabric

A bright sitting room and a bedroom used for daytime sleep need different answers. Describe when you use the room, who can see in, and whether you want to keep the view. Those details help narrow the construction before you settle on a colour. A sheer, an opaque curtain and a double layer each solve a different part of the brief.

02

The heading shapes the finished look

Wave curtains create a regular rhythm on a compatible track. Eyelets make the pole part of the design. Neither is a universal upgrade: consider the architecture, available fixing space and how much fabric can gather beside the glass. Photograph any existing track before deciding whether it can be retained.

03

Make the whole quotation comparable

Ask what is included in fabric, lining, sewing, hardware, fitting and access. Finished dimensions and fullness matter as much as the price per metre. A low fabric-only figure is not the same scope as an installed pair. Keep the fabric reference and agreed construction with your quotation.

04

A considered finish for daily use

Check balcony access, furniture, air-conditioning outlets and the drop above the floor. Choose a cleaning method supported by the actual material. The first enquiry can use approximate measurements; final making dimensions need to match the chosen heading and mounting.

Blackout curtains

Blackout curtains are about more than choosing a heavy fabric. Material opacity, track position, overlap and edge coverage all influence the result in your room.

Sheer curtains

Sheers add movement, texture and filtered daylight without the visual weight of a lined curtain. Their transparency deserves just as much attention as their colour.

Wave curtains

Wave curtains form repeating folds on a compatible track and glider system. Their clean line works best when the fabric, spacing and room around the window are planned together.

Eyelet curtains

Eyelet curtains hang from rings integrated into the heading. The pole becomes part of the room, so its diameter, brackets and finish belong in the design conversation.

A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS

Before you choose

Can I keep my track?

Possibly. Its condition, load capacity, fixings and compatibility with the new heading need checking first.

Can each room have a different curtain?

Yes. A coordinated colour family can work across rooms while the lining, heading and operation change to suit each opening.
