CURTAINS & BLINDS · DOHA
A different way to shape the light.
Blinds can provide a compact window finish, adjustable screening or a fabric panel that lifts clear of the view. Compare how each system operates before choosing its appearance.

01
Begin with window movement
Recess depth, handles and tilt or opening movement can rule out an otherwise attractive fitting. Measure the available space and share photos of the open window. An outside fit and a recess fit cover the opening differently.
02
Compare panels and slats
A roller raises a single fabric panel. A Roman blind gathers fabric into folds. Venetian and vertical blinds offer slat adjustment as well as opening. These are different operating experiences, not just alternative colour catalogues.
03
Choose fabric for the room
Light filtering, screening and opaque materials have different roles. A sunscreen-style fabric should not be assumed to give privacy in a brightly lit room at night. View samples in the relevant lighting and ask how the installed edges are covered.
04
Include everyday operation
Discuss reachable controls, cleaning and any cord or chain safety requirements. Ask for the manufacturer instructions for the selected system. If motorization is relevant, its power and controls need a specific compatible specification.
Explore the options
Roller blinds
A roller blind raises and lowers a fabric panel around a tube. Material choice and mounting decide how that simple form works in your room.
Roman blinds
A Roman blind gathers into horizontal folds as it rises. It can bring textile detail to an opening where a full-length curtain is less practical.
Venetian blinds
Venetian blinds use horizontal slats that tilt to alter light and views. Material, slat size and opening clearance are the main decisions to resolve.
Vertical blinds
Vertical slats can tilt and draw to one side or split around an opening. Their movement makes the stacking arrangement particularly important.
A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS
Before you choose
Can a blind sit behind a curtain?
Often, if the opening and combined hardware have enough clearance.
Which blind gives complete blackout?
Opaque material does not remove every possible edge gap. Discuss the whole fitted system and required room conditions.
